Your files
All conversions on formatmath run inside your web browser. The files you add are read and converted on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party, and we cannot see them. To count how the tools are used, the page sends us an anonymous record of each conversion: the tool, the formats, the file size and whether it succeeded. It contains no file names, no file content and no cookies.
Accounts and history
An account is optional. If you create one, we store your email address, name, the usage purpose you choose, a securely hashed password (or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google) and a history of your conversions. The history contains only file names, formats, sizes and dates, never the files themselves. Without an account, history is kept only in your browser’s local storage.
Cookies
We use two cookies when you sign in: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days, and a small flag that tells the page you are signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies at the moment. If that changes, this page will be updated and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
What our server receives
When you open a page, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) receives the standard technical data any website receives, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Deleting your data
You can clear your history or delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting the account removes your profile and history from our database.
