How to convert WebP to JPG

    1. Add your WebP files

Drop them on the converter, click Choose files or paste from the clipboard. You can add as many as you like.

    2. Adjust the settings

Choose a quality level and a background colour. Transparent parts of the WebP are filled with that colour, white by default.

    3. Download your JPG files

Each file converts automatically. Save files one by one or all at once as a ZIP.

    Why convert WebP to JPG?

JPG is the safest format for photos: it opens on every device and is accepted by every upload form, marketplace and print service. WebP is not, especially in older apps and on Windows 7 and 8.

Converting WebP photos to JPG keeps the files small while making them work everywhere. For logos and images with transparency, WebP to PNG is the better option, because JPG cannot store transparent areas.

    Frequently asked questions

What happens to transparency when converting WebP to JPG?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with a solid colour. You can pick the colour before converting; white is the default.

Which quality setting should I use?

For photos, 85–90% looks identical to the original and keeps files compact. Use 95–100% only if you plan to edit the JPG further.

    Is WebP better than JPG?

For websites, often yes, because WebP files are about 25–35% smaller. For sharing, printing and uploading to other services, JPG is more practical because everything accepts it.

Can I convert WebP to JPG on a phone?
