How to convert PDF to JPG

    1. Add your PDF files

Drop them on the converter, click Choose files or paste from the clipboard. You can add as many as you like.

    2. Adjust the settings

Choose the resolution: 72 dpi for screens and chats, 150 dpi for general use, 300 dpi for printing or zooming in on small text. Adjust JPG quality if you need smaller files.

    3. Download your JPG files

Each file converts automatically. Save files one by one or all at once as a ZIP.

    Why convert PDF to JPG?

Sometimes a PDF has to become a picture: to post a page on social media, drop a slide into a chat, add a document to a listing or attach a scan to a form that only takes images.

This converter renders each page exactly as a PDF viewer would and saves it as a JPG. A one-page PDF gives you one image; a longer document gives you one JPG per page, named in order and packed into a ZIP.

    Frequently asked questions

How do I convert only one page of a PDF to JPG?

Convert the whole PDF and keep the page you need, or first use Split PDF to extract that page and then convert it.

    What resolution should I choose?

150 dpi suits most uses. An A4 page at 150 dpi is about 1240 × 1754 pixels. Pick 300 dpi (2480 × 3508) for printing and 72 dpi for quick previews.

Are the pages saved in the right order?

Yes. Files are named document-page-01.jpg, document-page-02.jpg and so on, so they sort correctly in any folder.

Will fonts and images look the same as in the PDF?

Pages are rendered with PDF.js, the same engine Firefox uses to display PDFs, so the result matches what you see in a PDF viewer.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. formatmath converts files with code that runs inside your browser. Your files are never uploaded, stored or seen by us.

    Is it free?

Yes. There is no watermark and no daily limit. An account is optional and only keeps a history of your conversions.
