Frequently asked questions
Will I lose quality converting AI to JPG?
JPG is lossy, so the image is re-encoded. At 85–95% quality the difference is not visible in normal viewing. You can change the quality and the files reconvert instantly.
Why does my AI file fail to convert?
It was probably saved without PDF compatibility. Re-save it in Illustrator with “Create PDF Compatible File” switched on.
Can I convert many AI files at once?

How do I open AI files without converting?
You need software that supports AI. If you only need to view, share or upload the image, converting it is usually quicker than installing a new program.
